ITV Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley 'punched' by guest live on air

Good Morning Britain took a turn this morning when Richard Madeley was 'punched' live on air.

Rocky Taylor, a guest on the show lunged for the presenter, who is currently filling in for Piers Morgan, as a stunned Kate Garraway looked on.

However, viewers shouldn't be alarmed, as Rocky is actually Britain's oldest stuntman.

Viewers saw Richard ask to get involved and learn a fight move.

Standing opposite Rocky with his back to the camera, Richard did a countdown of three and took a simulated punch to the face.

Emmerdale fans think they know who is stalking Harriet Finch

Upon receiving the 'punch' Richard cried "Ooh", whilst pretending to be in pain.

Rocky said: "And that’s how it works. Did that look real?"

Kate replied: "That looked really real. "Are you okay?"

But before Kate even got an answer, Richard asked Rocky to try the stunt again to try and make it look as genuine as possible.

Richard asked: "Okay, are we at the safe distance?"

Following the 'fight', one viewer on Twitter said: "Bring back Piers Morgan."

And another wrote: "It must have been close to smudging his heavy make up", referencing last week's fake tan disaster.
