ITV Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh 'super happy' as role replacement confirmed

Ranvir Singh has sent a supportive message to her replacement on Good Morning Britain.

The 44-year-old TV presenter and journalist left her political role on the ITV news programme in December. However, she has remained on the programme as one of the show's regular presenters and newsreaders.

Ranvir joined the ITV programme during its launch in 2014 as a features correspondent and three years later she became political editor of the ITV show with viewers regularly seeing her outside Westminster. A new face has now been confirmed to fill the political role, stepping into Ranvir's former shoes.

She welcomed Louisa to the 'mad house' as she Tweeted: "Delighted that @LouisaJamesITV is joining Good Morning Britain’s politics team as Political Correspondent, taking over from @ranvir01.

She’s experienced, hard working and obsessed with politics. Think she’ll do well with me and @kieronishere. Welcome to the (mad) House Louisa."

Ranvir seemed delighted with the news as she replied to the post with clapping hand and party popper emojis. She wrote: "Super happy about this xxx"

ITV viewers will recognise Louisa as the 43-year-old has appeared on GMTV, Daybreak and eventually Good Morning Britain since 2014 where she has been a news correspondent and occasionally a stand-in newsreader on the show.
