ITV Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan swears live on air

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan slammed social media users branding some of them "kn**s" live on air.

The outspoken broadcaster spoke about comments he'd received after posting a photo to his Instagram account of himself drinking a pint during a segment earlier this morning.

The 55-year-old urged viewers to follow him on Instagram and join the "other 1.1million" who already follow him, before criticising those who leave negative comments.

Co-host Susanna Reid confirmed she had quit Twitter while Piers has quit Facebook.

But Piers said the "problem" was now all the "kn**s" had found him on Instagram.

Susanna said: "Is that the posh term?"

Reading a comment from one critic who said drinking on air was irresponsible, Piers put on an affected voice to mock their words before blocking them live on air.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Rachel said: "Did Piers Morgan really just call people 'kn**s' at quarter past 8 on a Wednesday morning?"

Daisy said: "That voice sounded like zippy from rainbow".

Ursula said: "Such a d***".

Steve commented: "Piers Morgan is so petty."

Craig added: "Piers has just blocked Rick the P**** live on air".

*Good Morning Britain airs on ITV weekdays from 6am
