The outspoken 54-year-old had just finished a segment about Meghan Markle and the royal baby when he started sounded off about social media.

As the dad-of-four was about to launch into a rant about how studies saying Instagram and Facebook overstate their impact on teens, he said: "They are jabbering in my ear, telling me to get on with it... I am just going to take my ear piece out."

He took it out and put it on the desk, while pointing to research carried out by Oxford University about social media.
