ITV Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan forced to respond to viewers after they notice 'cough'

Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan responded to concerned viewers as they noticed him coughing.

Today's instalment centered on the Prime Minister after Boris Johnson was admitted to intensive care on Monday as his Covid-19 symptoms worsened during the afternoon.

But during the first couple of minutes of GMB, viewers took to Twitter asking if Piers was well.

Kania wrote: "Morning guys. Is @piersmorgan okay? His eyes are red and he seems to have a cough of some kind."

Josephine tweeted: "I’m saying this again Piers Morgan does not look well."

Sundeep commented: "Piers you feeling ok mate, you just coughed a few times."

And Elizabeth said: "@piersmorgan I’m watching you from Paris this morning. Are you feeling well, you’ve been coughing a bit this morning! Stay safe and keep yourself protected. Love GMB."

However, during an ad-break Piers took to Twitter to respond to Elizabeth and calm any worries.

He said: "All good thanks Elizabeth, just clearing my throat after a fairly sleepless night."

On Monday night, Piers tweeted to say he was thinking of Boris during this troubling time.

He said: "This is an incredibly serious situation for the British prime Minister.

"Boris Johnson's condition with #coronavirus at St Thomas's Hospital has dramatically worsened in the last few hours & he was moved into intensive care at 7pm. Fight hard Boris - we're all rooting for you."
