ITV Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan forced to apologise as he fears being 'taken off air'

Piers Morgan was forced to apologise on Good Morning Britain today after fears he would be 'taken off air'.

The TV host joined Susanna Reid in Los Angeles as they presented a morning

They were also accompanied by Joan Collins, Kelly and Sharon Osbourne and Perez Hilton.

But just 27 minutes into the show, Sharon accidentally dropped the 'f-word' live on TV.

Sharon apologised (ITV)

Due to a technical error, Sharon's microphone could still be heard whilst a clip cut to Bong Joon Ho on the red carpet.

During this time, Sharon could be heard uttering 'f******'.

Following the expletive, Piers said: "We just have to make an immediate and early apology for some profanity that may have been heard earlier.

Piers and Susanna were in LA (ITV)

"You’ll be unsurprised to hear that Sharon Osbourne, it took her, well, it’s 27 minutes into the show, three minutes into Sharon Osbourne’s appearance on the programme, and we’ve already got to air a formal apology.

"So Sharon, we’ve got to try and get through the next two-and-a-half hours, without actually being taken off air. So if you could somehow..."

Sharon then apologised to viewers as Susanna pointed out to the X Factor judge that whilst it may be 10.30pm in Los Angeles, it is 6.30am in the UK.
