ITV Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid point out viewers' reaction to presenter's fashion choice

Good Morning Britain viewers were distracted today by one of the presenter's choice of coats.

When newsreader Charlotte Hawkins cut to Ranvir Singh outside the Houses of Parliament, no one was focusing on Brexit.

The 42-year-old mum-of-one had opted for a green teddy bear-style coat to keep her warm on a chilly spring morning.

It caught the eye of lots of GMB fans who took to Twitter to comment on her fashion choice.

Ranvir found the reaction funny (ITV)

One said: "Oh Ranvir. Do yourself a favour and find the nearest skip to throw that coat in. What in the name of all that is holy posessed you to spend money on that monstrosity?"

Another joked: "Wonder if Ranvir's coat came with a groundskeeper."

Leaked ITV email explains real reason Jeremy Kyle has been taken off air

A third added: "Why are you wearing a coat made of grass?"

But Ranvir took it all in good spirits when Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid pointed out viewers reaction.

Susanna said: And for those asking, no Ranvir has not ripped up the green and started wearing it."

Laughing, Ranvir said: "One of my favourites I have seen is 'you've been waiting so long for Piers to stop talking the grass has grown over you'."

*Good Morning Britain is on ITV1, everyday from 6am
