ITV Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins forced to apologise after wardrobe malfunction

Presenter Charlotte Hawkins was forced to apologise to viewers after flashing her bra on Good Morning Britain.

During the live ITV broadcast, fellow host Piers Morgan read out a message from a fan who said that Charlotte needed 'fasten' her dress at the back because you could see her bra strap.

Responding to the comment, Charlotte, 44, said: "I do apologise. It's an open backed dress and what I didn't realise is that we do these round the studio shots."

Charlotte's bra strap was visible from the back (ITV)

Piers said: "We are a family show, Charlotte. Maybe leave this for one of the numerous photo shoots that you have been doing."

Some viewers of the breakfast programme told the mum-of-one that she should not say sorry.

Twitter user @GeorgieLeahSW said: "@CharlotteHawkns please do not apologise for a bit of your bra showing on @GMB!! HEADLINE: WOMEN WEAR BRAS. We need to stop saying sorry for TOTALLY NORMAL THINGS all the time!"

Another, @CazzClark said: "So What If @CharlotteHawkns has the Bra showing? Woman wear bras get over it! It’s 2019, can we please wear what we want without being shamed? I often have a bra showing - bras are not a dirty thing!!!"

A third, @ianChri02706344 said: "Leave Charlotte alone ... I don’t see anything wrong with her showing a bit of her bra strap... feel free !!"

*Good Morning Britain is on ITV1, every morning from 6am
