Weather presenter Alex Beresford was spotted celebrating Piers Morgan leaving Good Morning Britain for the week.
The 39-year-old began visibly rejoicing when Piers told viewers it was his weekend.
Piers, 54, welcomed fans of the ITV breakfast show and said: "It's Wednesday and the weekend starts here."
Co-host Susanna Reid said: "Six o'clock on a Wednesday morning? No one's weekend starts here. It is hump day for most of us."
Piers only anchors the show from Monday to Wednesday and has Thursdays and Fridays off.
The camera panned to Alex who was seen fist bumping the air and mouthing "yes" and added: "The last day for Piers."
There is no love lost between the presenters, who have come to blows in the past, Piers said: "The good news is viewers, you get none of me, but you get a lot more Alex Beresford and his weather reports over the next couple of days."
Before adding: "Let me help with the weather forecast; It's December, so it is going to be a little bit chilly, might be a bit of rain, er, that's it."
Earlier this year, Alex caused a stir among viewers after he stormed off set and later told Piers "I don't work for you".
In a frosty exchange Piers branded Alex a 'drama queen' as the presenter explained what the weather might be like at Lord's cricket ground back in the summer.
The former Dancing on Ice contestant didn't let it go and later tweeted the presenter: "Hey @ piersmorgan it’s the Drama Queen. So tomorrow at Lords just for you...partly cloudy, humid and very warm with a high of 27C. That alright for you “mate” (loosely)."
