ITV Good Morning Britain presenters beg performer to stop during dangerous crossbow stunt

ITV Good Morning Britain presenters begged an illusionist to stop during a dangerous live stunt as her performed on today's show.

Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd hosted this morning's episode, which featured former Britain's Got Talent contestant Jonathan Goodwin.

The illusionist is known for his nail-biting, death-defying stunts - but his live performance on the early morning show left the presenters terrified.

Jonathan fired a crossbow at a balloon that his assistant Danny held between her teeth, as the hosts screamed "oh my god!" - but things got even scarier as the act went on.

The former Britain's Got Talent performer said he wanted to make the stunt harder, and Susanna Reid begged him to stop out of fear something would go wrong.

He then produced a piece of paper, which he proceeded to shoot with his crossbow, taking the perfect shot to pierce his tiny target.

Despite Susanna Reid's protestations that she'd had enough, Jonathan went one better - taking the dangerous stunt up a notch.

He produced another balloon, which assistant Danny held over her head while he placed a blindfold over his eyes.

The studio fell silent as Danny rang a tiny bell to indicate where the balloon was, ready for Jonathan to take aim and fire at it using his crossbow.

He executed the stunt perfectly, much to the relief of Susanna Reid - who was hiding behind her own hands by the end of the act.
