ITV Good Morning Britain presenter left red-faced after live segment fail

Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins was left red-faced after a mishap during a live segment.

Reality television star David Potts was on the show to promote new TV series Celebs on the Farm.

To show off his newfound skills, he brought in a number of chickens for the presenters to handle.

Charlotte said: "Actually Richard, we should probably not get it too close to you because as a boy your grandma...

Richard finished Charlotte's story, saying: "My grandma kept chickens and she used to cook them and ring their necks every Sunday for Sunday lunch."

At that point, Charlotte said: "Do you want me to take the chicken? I better look after it."

But as she went to finish the segment, the chicken decided enough was enough and tried to fly out of Charlotte's hands.

Unable to control the farm yard animal, Charlotte let go of the chicken before producers had time to cut the cameras.

Making light of the live blunder, GMB tweeted: "Great job at handling our chickens @DavidWeekender and @richardm56 Please can you give @CharlotteHawkns some tips!"
