ITV Good Morning Britain paused as Richard Arnold cowers in embarrassment after 'sex' gaffe live on air

Good Morning Britain was temporarily paused for giggles but not from Richard Arnold as he cowed in embarrassment over his blunder live on the show. The entertainment editor was back on the ITV news programme on Thursday (February 23) with the latest showbiz gossip.

He joined today's hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard live in the studio where he was left red-faced after making an awkward on-air error when talking about the new Star Wars TV series starring Pedro Pascal.

The actor is set to return as the galaxy's notorious bounty hunter Din Djarin in Season 3 of 'The Mandalorian' when it hits Disney+ in March. And Richard was keen to share how he had enjoyed an interview with Pedro.

"I chatted with the man of the moment who of course is currently starring in the phenomenal hit The Last Of Us, which we love," Richard said before he went on to say: "I talked to him about his sex..." before stopping suddenly stopping in his tracks and releasing his blunder.

"What?” Ben exclaimed as Kate gasped in shock. Richard was clearly mortified by his x-rated gaffe as he then covered his face with his hands and almost hid behind the desk as the rest of the studio erupted with laughter. Ben then repeated himself as he asked: "What?"

And Richard was then able to compose himself and clarify what he meant. "His success on the telly," he said, still looking red-faced. "Let’s just roll the tape,” he added trying to escape his embarrassing moment.

During Wednesday's show, it was Kate who was left feeling slightly awkward when she was told she 'smells' by a guest. Hosting the show alongside Ed Balls, the pair were joined by disaster search and rescue volunteers Neil Woodmansey, Ashley Hildred and Mark Dungworth. The hosts interviewed the trio of firefighters about travelling to Turkey to help those affected by the devastating earthquake earlier this month.

They were also joined by Colin the collie who also assisted Neil, Ashley and Mark during their 10 days of helping with the rescue effort. After chatting for a few minutes, Kate, 55, asked: "For all those people watching who can't get their dog to walk to heel, how did you train Colin to be so extraordinary? Give us some tips."

Neil explained how Colin was obsessed with toys as a reward as a puppy. "So what you do is, you've got the toy and you don't give him it, you tease him so he barks at you and then he gets the toy," he shared. "So eventually, and I am not being rude Kate but you smell, I mean we all smell," Neil added.

Co-host, and former Labour MP, Ed quickly jumped in to quip: "I mean tell me about it, tell me about it! It's all in the morning, thank God you've said it." Kate then awkwardly laughed as she held her show notes close to her face before adding slightly embarrassed: "I am just crumpling."
