ITV Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan forced to apologise after Sinead O'Connor swears on air

Piers Morgan was forced to apologise to viewers this morning after Sinead O'Connor swore live on air.

Sinead performed her famous song "Nothing compares to you" live on air and left fans with goosebumps after her rendition.

She then went to speak to Piers, Susanna and Charlotte about a variety of topics, including who she thinks of when she sings the classic hit.

Sinead said: "I wasn't ready for success, I didn't set out to be a pop star, I was more of a punk.

"When I sing that song, I always think of my mum, she died in a car crash when I was 18 and that's time I get to spend with my mum.

"I'd say she would be proud of me."

Piers asked her if she ever thought of former lovers when singing the song and she said no and that her and her friends used to joke "Nothing compares to you, you b*****d"

Immediately Piers said: "Of course we apologise for Sinead's language, it's breakfast TV Sinead, we're very very civilised on this show."

Sinead said "It's just a word." but Piers continued to apologise for her behaviour.
