ITV Good Morning Britain favourite 'taking leave' from show for 'some fun'

A Good Morning Britain (GMB) presenter has announced she will be taking some time away from the popular morning show. ITV favourite Laura Tobin said it is time to take a break from the show as the weather presenter gears up for "some fun" during half-term.

Laura announced her hiatus from ITV GMB on Instagram. She wrote: "I'm on leave this week for half-term, so there won't be any weather updates. Maybe just some half-term fun."

Laura, who shares four-year-old daughter Charlotte with her husband Dean Brown, added: "Don't miss me too much, see you on the other side." GMB's other weather presenters include Des Coleman and also Alex Beresford.

Last year, the eco-friendly and environmentally-conscious star admitted she, Dean and Charlotte use the same bath and shower water, reported Birmingham Live. Laura explained: "Our shower is over our bath, so I put the plug in while showering and Charlotte will sit in the bath and have a splash around. Then sometimes, my husband will get in afterwards.

"I know some people think this is gross, but how dirty do you have to be to leave the water unusable for the next person," Laura quizzed. She added: "Even by shaving off one minute in the shower I'm saving 66.6 litres each time, which will save us money on our water bill - so you can imagine how happy my husband is about that.

"So far, I've got my 'full' shower - wash and condition hair, shave legs and body scrub - down to six minutes. Reducing your shower time by one minute can save your household up to £120 a year," the star added.

Laura also insisted that she will do everything in her power to make the world a better place for her daughter, and hopes that in time, the damage that has been done to the planet can one day be reversed by the actions of people who take being eco-friendly seriously.
