ITV forced to pause Brit Awards as 'technical issues' hit show

ITV was forced to pause the BRIT Awards ceremony as they suffered "technical issues".

Following a performance by Sam Smith and Kim Petras, host Mo Gilligan confirmed a problem backstage. He said: "We have had some technical issues because this is live TV."

Instead of the programme continuing, viewers were shown Adele's performance from last year's Brits. Following the playback of 'I Drink Wine', cameras cut back to the live show where Mo was joined by Maya Jama, Joel Dommett and AJ Odudu.

Fortunately, things seem to get back on track, as Sam Ryder, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson performed a David Guetta megamix.
