Emmerdale viewers were left swooning over a new Liverpudlian police detective.
Cain Dingle met his match as DI Malone stepped onto the scene to investigate the shooting at Butlers Farm.
Will was being interviewed by the police about the gun used by Cain , but when Malone walked through the door, Will's jaw dropped to the ground.
Malone revealed that he had history with Will and made some threatening demands.
However, many viewers were distracted from the show as they took a fancy to Malone.
Sarah wrote on Twitter: "This new copper is dish dish dishaaaaay."
Liz tweeted: "Hot detective alert!!!"
Dee said: "Oh who is the yummy new cop in #Emmerdale ."
Another wrote: "Hunky cop klaxon."
Mariam tweeted: "This Detective Inspector is a bit of alright."
And Sally said: "I like this Scouse copper. He’s already making Cain’s a*** pucker with fear and that’s good enough for me."
Malone, played by Mark Womack is an instantly recognisable figure.
He has previously starred in One Night In Instanbul, Liverpool 1 and Route Irish.
Speaking about his new role, Mark said: "It’s always a lot of fun to play the bad guy and Malone definitely falls into that category.
"I'm looking forward to the audience seeing his twisted tale unfold on screen."
