Viewers tuning into tonight's episode of Emmerdale were left stunned at Victoria Barton's shocking revelation.
The ITV soap has been widely praised for its brave rape storyline, many commending actress Isabel Hodgins , who plays Victoria, for her acting.
Victoria was supported by Moira as she took the step to report the rape to the police, she felt it was now time to tell the rest of her family and as she did she also told them she was now pregnant.
While many fans were blown away by her news, some felt it was very unrealistic as it had only been six days since the assault.
One on Twitter said: "Did she say he raped me and now I'm pregnant? Quickest conception ever."
Another added: "Hold on, what length of time has passed between Victoria being raped and reporting it? How is she already pregnant? What about the morning after pill?"
The NHS recommend that all female victims of sexual assault take a pregnancy test and get checked out for STIs.
But they also say the best times to get accurate results from a pregnancy test is four or five days before your period, and preferably after a missed period.

That does not mean you can not get a positive test before hand, you just have an increased chance of a false negative. So while the chances are slimmer, it is possible for the character Victoria to have had a positive result.
Other fans said they saw where the storyline was going, with some predicting that Victoria will allow her brother Robert and his partner Aaron to adopt the baby.
