David was revealed as the father of Maya's baby i n the latest Emmerdale episode - leading viewers to come up with some wild fan theories.
After a baby boy was left on their doorstep over Christmas, David and Jacob have been wondering who the father is, after they both slept with Maya.
They decided to have a DNA test, but when Jacob was out of the room, David pleaded with the doctor to tamper with the results so he was the father.
However, Leyla later revealed that after receiving official DNA results, David was the father "in black and white" - but fans weren't convinced.
The most popular fan theory is that Doctor Liam did switch the DNA results meaning Jacob would be the father.
Some believed that David and Leyla were therefore hiding the truth to protect Jake.
However, one fan came up with a very wild theory - but one that could be feasible.
Writing on Twitter, Penn said: "I reckon Leyla will offer to bring the baby up with David and then eventually they will fall in love and get married."
Recently viewers have seen Leyla make a beeline for Doctor Liam, but tonight her advances were turned down.
