Jay Kontzle may soon be making an exit from Emmerdale - if Meena Jutla gets her way.
The actor's character Billy Fletcher is set to face an ultimatum following his romantic Valentine's Day wedding.
Billy is set to wed Dawn Taylor but unbeknown to them, serial killer Meena is back and has big plans to ruin the start of their married life together.
And she's going to do that by making Billy choose whether to save himself, or take a bullet for his new wife.
Luckily Jay's life is a lot less dramatic.
Jay landed the part of Billy in 2018 after being tipped off about a casting session by his friend, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas
But six years before that, the 31-year-old had another primetime appearance on TV.
Jay appeared on Britain's Got Talent with boy band, The Mend.
The band was formed in 2008 by ex-Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith, and came runners-up to dancing dog Pudsey on the ITV talent show in 2012.
But The Mend announced their split in 2015.
Jay has previously told Cheshire Live: "Being part of The Mend was a huge life experience for me and some of the best times of my life.
"Obviously being on tour and performing live on TV gave me so much experience, but as we grew older we realised that as a boy band that catered for teenagers, we couldn’t keep re-inventing ourselves."
He also told the Manchester Evening News : "After The Mend I worked at a school with children with special educational needs and because of everything I have been through I wanted to show them that it's possible for anyone to get where they want to be.
"I tried to give them a positive outlook."
But thanks to The Mend, Jay also met his wife.
Artis Mimi attended one of the group's gigs.
The couple married in 2017 and have two children together - KaiBo and Zian.
