ITV Emmerdale newcomer's surprise EastEnders link as he issues warning

Emmerdale was rocked tonight with the arrival of a new character.

Charles Anderson has been through a difficult few weeks in the fictional Yorkshire village since his mum arrived. Claudette has complained of a bad back and Charles has been looking after her.

However, fans have been sceptical over Claudette's true motives and are convinced she is lying about her back pain. Things are set to get worse for the vicar after his dad, Victor, arrived in tonight's episode.

The newcomer is played by Eddie Osei, who warned his character will bring trouble to the Andersons. The actor said: "I feel privileged to be joining such a great show and I am honoured to be working with the fantastic cast and crew.

"It is very exciting for me to be playing Victor who is such an enigmatic character and who causes the Anderson family so much trouble." Emmerdale's producer heaped praise on the new addition to the cast.

Hannah Cheers said: "The brilliant addition of Eddie Osei as Victor has allowed us to learn more about who the Andersons are and we can't wait for the audience to watch as the drama unfolds. While Claudette is confronted by the husband she prayed she'd never see again, Charles has to face up to painful past traumas and he makes no secret of the fact that Victor is not welcome here. But who will win out?”

Eddie has enjoyed a long career in television and previously appeared as Danny Harrison in EastEnders. The character was a building contractor for Ian Beale across a brief six episode storyline in 2000.
