Emmerdale viewers were taken aback as Meena Jutla's reign of terror appeared to come to an end in tonight's episode.
The evil nurse has been causing havoc in the Yorkshire village since she murdered Leanna Cavanagh last summer.
The character, played by Paige Sandhu, has since taken the lives of Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker - and she also murdered her friend Nadine before she arrived in the village.

Meena has continued her attempts to evade justice in Emmerdale as she has held Vinny Dingle and Manpreet Sharma hostage in a bid to ensure their silence.
Her plans to kill the two characters in last night's episode were derailed when she received a phone call from Billy Fletcher who confronted her over lying about a miscarriage last month.
Meena hoped to lure Billy to the barn in the latest episode and accused him of spoiling her "grand finale" when he failed to show.
The resident villain was stunned when Billy failed to show and Dr Liam Cavanagh was the person who arrived at the barn.
Meena tried to dupe Liam into thinking she'd had a breakdown and urged the doctor to leave her alone in her "sanctuary".
The evil nurse thought her ruse had been a success, but Liam followed her into the barn and discovered Manpreet and Vinny were being held hostage.
Meena's web of lies finally caught up with her as Liam hit her over the head with a plank and knocked the villainous character unconscious.
Viewers following the show on Twitter erupted with joy after the scene, but many were shocked Dr Cavanagh used such brute force in his attack.
