ITV Emmerdale loses scores of viewers after 'awful' scenes

Emmerdale's latest storyline saw viewers switching off last night, branding scenes "awful".

Viewers have suffered a lot with the ITV show this year with Jacob Gallagher and Maya Stepney's grooming storyline eventually coming to an end, but now they are appalled by Moira Barton's affair with farm hand Nate Robinson.

The pair are set to embark on an affair behind Moira's husband Cain Dingle's back, which can only end badly.

Last night's scenes saw the pair get close for the first time in the cattle shed, reports the Liverpool Echo.

They got close to kissing in the kitchen before Moira refused him and sent him away.

He came back as she was struggling to lift hay bales and instantly stepped in to help.

Nate took off his top as he got sweatier and he told Moira he couldn't pretend there wasn't anything between them anymore.

Moira refused his advances, but was clearly shaken by what he'd said.

Nate refused to give up and eventually kissed Moira among the hay.

But fans were not happy about the storyline and turned off in their droves.

One said: "Omg this Nate and Moira 'thing' is so so so baaaaad...I can't watch...cringing."

Another said: "The urge to skip through all the Nate/Moira scenes is strong. This storyline is awful."

And a third said: "These scenes between Moira and Nate are making me feel very uncomfortable... still can’t believe that they are going to have an affair."

*Emmerdale continues at 7pm on ITV tomorrow
