Emmerdale viewers were quick to question the new vicar Charles' motives on tonight's episode, with some suspecting he could be an undercover police officer.
Tonight saw Charles meet Dawn and ask her all about the village and her step-mum Harriet, as he announced his plans to include local news in the church newsletter.
Dawn told him it was very quiet in the village and later she confessed her fears about him to her dad Will, who didn't see anything wrong with his questions.
Later he walked in on Harriet practising her sermon for the New Year and the pair got chatting.
He said he'd seen her walking off "into the dark" the previous evening and she confessed she sometimes liked to walk in the evenings.
He said: "Ahhh so you're a bit of a worrier, so where do you go?"
Harriet said she walked across the fields and he said: "I hope you take a torch, does Dawn ever join you?

"I met her earlier, but don't worry she refused to spill any of your secrets."
Harriet said there were no secrets to tell and said it was very quiet around the village.
But Charles said: "There's always something surprising lurking somewhere."
And viewers were quick to speculate on what the new vicar was up to.
Dion said: "New vicar to good to be true."
Graham Whelton said: "Is the new Vicar in @emmerdale an undercover cop?
@hatedthemoomins said: "I reckon the new vicar is an undercover cop! Although, I do like him., a lot.."
Roberto Diniro said: "Do you think Charles is truly a vicar or undercover copper?"
And Chantel said: "I feel this vicar is undercover something about him."
