Fans of ITV soap Emmerdale were stunned at the casting of Lydia Hart's sister.
Viewers at home rushed to Twitter to congratulate Emmerdale bosses as Lydia, played by Karen Blick, went in search of her birth mother.
But at the house she was greeted by a woman who was clearly her sister and told her their mum had died.
Fans were shocked when they saw her sister, commenting on how much they looked like each other.
One, @WoolieWeekly said: "Ooh it's Lydia's sister! What great casting."
Another, @EastieOaks said: "She is the spitting image of her."
A third, @carol90783713 said: "Oh My Lydia's double.! Not twins, surly."
A fourth, @kellieMcQuade added: "The casting of Lydia's sister is literally perfect."
In a shock twist, it was later revealed that Lydia's mum is not dead and her sister had lied to her on the doorstep.
