ITV Emmerdale fans spot characters' confusing face mask blunder

Emmerdale fans spotted a face mask blunder in tonight's visit to the dales.

In tonight's instalment from the famous village, Luke found Jamie unconscious and bleeding on the floor at Home Farm after a fall.

Billy guessed Dawn has a secret, and she took to drinking whiskey in the office with Ellis. Ellis later called Billy and told him to get there as soon as possible.

A drunken Dawn later told Billy she had done "bad things, terrible things" and said: "I am evil."

In other scenes, Charity felt lonely and emotional because she has not heard from Vanessa.

But fans were distracted after spotting several characters wearing a face mask outdoors before taking them off to enter the café.

Under the most recent government guidance, a face covering must be worn on premises providing hospitality, such as bars, pubs, restaurants and cafés except for when seated at a table to eat or drink.

You are expected to wear a face covering before entering any of these settings and must keep it on until you leave unless there is a reasonable excuse for removing it.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Kevin tweeted: "They wear the mask outside and take it off inside shouldn't it be the other way around."

Colin said: "Why are they wearing masks outside and taking them off when they go into the café."

One viewer commented: "So I guess the face covering rules got mixed up in the village."

Another added: "Why are they wearing masks outside but taking them off to go inside?? That makes NO sense."
