ITV Emmerdale fans 'shouting at TV' over 'same old story'

Emmerdale viewers saw the flames of an old romance reignited during Wednesday's instalment of the long-running ITV soap.

An insecure Kerry was worried Al had partnered up with Belle because he was attracted to her. Kerry even tried to enter the business with him, and became more concerned when he turned her down.

Amy told her Al would be "the craziest man in the world" to mess up what he had with Kerry. And after chatting to her daughter, Kerry seemed to feel better.

Earlier scenes, however, saw Priya tell Al she felt ugly and "scarred". She said she felt she couldn't work with him because she was "a mess" after the maze fire left her with scars.

Determined to show her otherwise, Al asked if they could talk. When she said she had clients to see, he promised her he would wait - despite her calling him a "slimy toe-rag".

Meeting her at the cricket pavilion with a picnic basket, Al said he "needed the calories to take more insults". However Priya apologised and said she "didn't hate him any more".

After Al told her she was "beautiful, inside and out", the pair chatted about their relationship, including when Al proposed. Priya said: "Ignorance is bliss ... we were so in love".

It was an intimate moment that saw the two kiss, before Priya apologised and ran away. And many Emmerdale viewers were less than impressed with the scene.

Taking to Twitter, Dion Petrie said: "Don't go there Priya". Bradley Coombes said: "Here we go, Priya with mug on her forehead again", while Andy Gibson said: "KEEP AWAY FROM HIM PRIYA!".

Missy W said: "Just shouted at my screen hahah. Why do they have to make Priya a mug why can't she have a decent storyline?". Thomas Forrest said: "Al and Priya again? Same old story".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
