Emmerdale fans were left stunned by Matty's behaviour towards Moira on tonight's instalment.
Recently, Moira has taken some time out of Emmerdale to focus on recovering from an alcohol addiction following a marriage breakdown.
Her son Matty has been left to run Butlers farm, but despite refusing the help of both Cain and Sam Dingle, he's been struggling to cope under the pressure.
Noticing his difficulties, Amy helps Matty when some of his sheep escape from the barn.
However, Amy and Matty landed themselves in a dangerous position when they were faced with livestock thieves.
It was a life or death situation for Matty, but luckily Moira arrived back just in time with her gun and shot a blank, scaring the thieves off.
But rather than thank his mum, Matty threw verbal abuse, accusing Moira of being drunk.
Fans were shocked with his behaviour, taking to Twitter to blast the young Barton.
Mike said: "Matty does my head in.... Moira you're mum came and rescued you're sorry a***... Them rustlers would of got away with cattle."
Kaza tweeted: "Matty you’re an ungrateful git! You should be thankful for your mum."
Grianne said: "Moira did just totally save Matty's bloody life and he can't even be bothered to say "Thanks" really?"
And Shaheen said: "Matty ungrateful, call the baddies back Moira."
