ITV Emmerdale fans praise return of much loved character after break

Emmerdale fans were delighted to see much loved character Diane return this evening.

In tonight's instalment from the popular Yorkshire village, Leanna intended to start a smear campaign against Gabby after her grooming lies came to light.

The fallout has been intense since Gabby confessed she had lied about Liam, insinuating he had been inappropriate with her and taken advantage when he hadn't.

In last night's episode, Gabby tried to apologise to Liam but he refused to accept and told her to stay away from him.

Leyla's anger at the situation has yet to dissipate, with her telling Gabby she wanted to make her life hell.

Tonight, Leanna promised to exacerbate Gabby's worries further after overhearing her speaking with Diane.

In other scenes, Laurel and Jai discussed her recent pregnancy news, with the couple still grappling with the surprise. Jai expressed worry and fear.

Later, Jai told Ms Thomas about a job, and Nicola tried to listen in on some gossip.

Fans were pleased to see Diane back in the village after being absent for while. Diane spoke with Gabby and offered her advice after the recent drama.
