ITV Emmerdale fans point out same issue with Aaron Dingle scenes as they predict another reason for return

Emmerdale fans saw the return of a familiar face as they tuned into the latest installment of the ITV soap. Fans already knew that Danny Miller was reprising his role as Aaron Dingle and the character was seen for the first time during Monday night's episode (October 3) since his emotional exit last year.

Aaron left the Yorkshire village last year after his half-sister Liv Flaherty was wrongly jailed for the murder of Ben Tucker. Liv's now-husband Vinny Dingle stood by her side and pursued in trying to clear her name and it was later revealed to the villagers that Meena Jutla was responsible for Ben's death and that she was, in fact, a serial killer.

Meanwhile, Danny headed off into the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here castle, where he emerged as the winner, shortly after welcoming his first child, baby son Albert, with his now-wife Steph.

But it appears not much has actually changed for Aaron as he arrived back at the home he shared with his sister to be confronted by a mystery man and find Liv sprawled out on the floor. And it wasn't long before Aaron was caught up in a fight with bad guy Terry who had just attacked Liv after she uncovered his and her mum Sandra's ploy to steal her money.

And just as Aaron started to swing for Terry, PC Harriet Finch arrived and was soon taking him to the station for questioning over the incident while Liv was taken to hospital in a worrying condition. Later, after being released, Aaron tried to see his sister but Vinny ordered him to leave.

He told Aaron that Liv doesn't need him anymore and in no uncertain terms that she's done with him after he abandoned her at her time of need. As he passed mum Chas and step-dad Paddy in the corridor, Aaron emotionally feared he wouldn't get the chance to make up with Liv, which he said was the reason for his return.

Emmerdale viewers then saw him getting into a lift where he broke down and started to sob. And it left fans of the soap making the same comments. @VoiceOfReasonEF tweeted: "Aaron back five mins and he’s crying already… these writers need to give this poor character a break. #AaronDingle #Emmerdale."

@W1966Caroline echoed: "Oh for gods sake 10 mins back in the programme & they’ve got poor Aaron crying already, give the character a bloody break. It is great to see him visiting though #emmerdale." @LukeHayesII1 posted: "Oh for f**k sake, the first scenes of Aaron and he's crying, AGAIN. #Emmerdale." @gillyqueenbee commented: "He’s only been back 5 minutes and he’s crying, welcome back Aaron #emmerdale."

Aaron ended up in tears (ITV)

@janjo9 shared: "Ah, Aaron's only been back 2 minutes and he's in tears again. Please stay @danny_b_miller - we've missed you." Steph Garratt wrote on Facebook: "Aaron is back and in the first scene he punches someone, in the last scenes he is crying again. Nothing new then."

And while Aaron said he was back to make amends with love, some Emmerdale fans think there's another reason for his return. @chinnyroberts said: "I mean Vinny's not wrong but he was Liv's world for a while. Glad the character's returned even if ti's temporary. Still thinking he's Mack's hookup." @joy9kat tweeted: "Aaron is back for Mack methinks #Emmerdale." @RyanGSoapKing11 had previously said: "Just had a thought: What if Aaron was the person that Mack slept with in #Emmerdale?"

As Emmerdale fans know, Mackenzie Boyd had a one-night stand with a mystery person after a row with girlfriend Charity Dingle over their plans to try for another baby after suffering an ectopic pregnancy. Viewers are yet to be enlightened by their identity, however, Mack has been trying to stop them from phoning and texting him and referenced them being familiar to the village.
