ITV Emmerdale fans make demand over Mackenzie's sudden exit after 'creepy' move

Emmerdale fans have made a very clear demand to soap bosses as they witnessed a sudden exit from the village.

Mackenzie Boyd was seen hitting the road in Monday night's trip to the Dales after his big gesture to Charity Dingle wasn't well received.

The character, played by Lawrence Robb, was in his girlfriend's bad books after he took matters into his own hands last week.

Mack attempted to help Charity out as she went head-to-head with cousin Chas Dingle after they both planned events on the same night. While Charity was relaunching The Woolpack after saving the boozer at auction with son Ryan, Chas was gearing up to host a wedding party for Vinny and Liv at the B&B, which she recently became the manager of.

But when the B&B faced a rat infestation, Lydia tried to find a new venue for the family bash, and the family ended up at the Village Hall with Vinny and Liv ready to bless their marriage in front of the Dingle clan.

However, Charity was on the warpath and went to have it out with Chas, but as the pair entered into another row, a mystery figure set off the sprinkler system, dousing the pair in water and ultimately ruining Liv and Vinny’s celebration.

It was later made clear that Mack was the one to set off the sprinklers, thinking he was doing right by Charity, but he only ended up making matters worse as the warring cousins entered into a food fight in front of their unphased family.

After wanting Mackenzie out of her sight, Charity soon ended up sharing a moment with ex Vanessa Woodfield and as the pair chatted away over a glass of wine, Charity apologised for the past and the pair were led into a near-kiss before Vanessa hastily left.

With Mackenzie feeling sorry for himself, and Vanessa feeling guilty, she ended up offering him some advice, which resulted in his grand romantic gesture - stealing her house keys, getting his own set cut, and then announcing to Charity - with flowers - that he would be moving in.

But Charity, who is still reeling from her moment with Vanessa, rejected him, telling him: "There’s a big difference between loving each other and moving in together. You’re putting me on the spot here. Why the sudden urgency?"

Feeling deflated, Mackenzie told her he’d been offered work in Glasgow and was going to leave if they were over. "If you and I are done, then I’ve got nothing else keeping me here," he said before driving off into the sunset.

But Emmerdale fans were left annoyed by the sudden exit and were making the same plea.

"P lease say Mackenzie will be back," @ harrysimcox17 said.

@liuimee demanded: "Bring back Mackenzie."

"NOO MACKENZIE PLS BRING HIM BACK," @ meenassupremacy begged.

@sad_gxrl_holly screamed: "IM SCREAMING NO WAY WAS THAT MACKENZIE’S EXIT, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THAT WAS THE MOST SUDDEN AND RUSHED EXIT SCENE EVER BALSJDKDKDKD #emmerdale."

Ursula wrote on Facebook: "Please let Mackenzie come back. Love his character."

Others, however, were quick to point out his huge error.

@Vanityobsessor tweeted: "Why does Mackenzie think it’s acceptable to steal someone’s keys and get your own copy cut, that’s creepy mate #Emmerdale."

"How NOT to do a big gesture Mackenzie style: Nick the house keys from your girlfriend's purse, copy them, and then try to move yourself in. #Emmerdale," @EastieOaks said.

@wellshowmethen commented: "Secretly getting yourself a key cut for your increasingly distant girlfriend's house without discussing it with her & then being upset she's not ok with it... Errrrrm where is the red flag emoji #vanity #emmerdale."

"Not mack just stealing charity’s keys and getting himself some cut without even asking her there’s a grand gesture of love and then there’s just CREEPY #emmerdale," @Alison_King_Fan wrote.
