Emmerdale fans think Suzy Merton could end up being involved in another death after her link to the late Holly Barton was exposed. Viewers of the ITV soap were already aware that the newcomer had given the recovering drug addict money on the night she died from a drug overdose.
During Monday night's edition of the ITV soap, the newbie ended up coming clean to love interest Vanessa Woodifled after a confrontation at The HOP. During a showcase for both The HOP and Take A Vow, Suzy was unaware of the fact she had used a wedding photo featuring Holly just hours before her death.
Jay Sharma was the first to notice, as he was also in attendance at the wedding in question but left earlier than Holly. Moira was left stunned and desperate for information, saying to Suzy: "Why have you got a photograph of my daughter?" Suzy wriggled her way out of revealing the truth but Vanessa wasn't as relenting and ended up finding out what really happened.
Suzy pleaded with Vanessa to keep it a secret but unable to betray her friend, Vanessa told Moira the truth and Suzy was quickly cast out from her new life in the village. And Leyla Cavanagh, who is secretly a drug addict, was quick to throw Suzy under the bus and left her former friend to take the wrap for the drugs previously found in the Take A Vow office.
But in a separate storyline, seen during Wednesday night's episode (July 13), viewers saw Dawn Fletcher receive a devastating phone call just as Kim Tate arrived. "Are you alright, you look like you've seen a ghost?" she asked to which her future daughter-in-law replied: "My best mate's died..." before explaining they met while working as prostitutes and that she died from an overdose.
And Emmerdale fans were quick to think that Suzy could be linked to Dawn's friend's death as well as Holly's. @Samanth22356123 asked: "Is Dawn’s dead friend gonna be linked to Suzy?? #Emmerdale."
@Je_ssi_c_a commented: "Dawn's new long term best friend's death is well gonna be linked to Suzy #Emmerdale." @Rach_ld87 said: "Do we really need two drug storylines at the same time? What’s the betting Dawn’s new, now dead, best friend has links to Suzy #Emmerdale."
