Emmerdale fans have shared their confusion over the latest edition of the soap as they begged for bosses to 'sort it out'. Tuning into Tuesday night's edition of the ITV soap (April 11), viewers couldn't help but notice the changing weather.
At the start of the episode, the soap's newest bad boy Caleb Milligan was seen outside in the middle of a downpour of heavy snow. But later on, the snow seemed to have vanished and the 'weather blunder' didn't escape viewers watching at home and they flocked to social media to comment.
@Zombiechick1967 tweeted: "So we have thick snow one minute, then none the next! Come on @emmerdale sort out the filming! #Emmerdale." @tracytaylor66 wrote: "#emmerdale one minute there’s a snow storm and loads of snow then there’s nothing." @scipfish said: "Snow , no snow , snow , no snow WTF are the continuity people doing on Emmerdale #emmerdale."
@tracytaylor66 echoed: "#emmerdale one minute there’s a snow storm and loads of snow then there’s nothing." @craig_myers8391 added: "Odd continuity in tonight’s episode: Caleb talking to Nicky in snow covered Main Street, the snow continues to fall hard as Kim pulls up in her car. Shortly after: Nicky and Caleb are chatting in a lane, it’s not snowing and the surrounding fields have no snow on them at all! Then: Caleb is on his phone in snow covered Main Street again and the snow is falling hard!"
However, the criticism may be unjust as Emmerdale had to halt filming last month when parts of the country were battered by Storm Larisa. Nick Miles, who is known to viewers for playing Jimmy King in the ITV soap, confirmed the news on Twitter on Mach 10 when he revealed that severe weather conditions have stopped schedules.
"Filming on Emmerdale cancelled today due to the snow. Look out Leeds. We’re all going sledging!’, he wrote on the social media platform. Meanwhile, Rosie Bentham, who plays Gabby Thomas in the long-running soap, shared a snap of the snow-dusted houses and cars while Lewis Cope, who recently joined the soap as nanny Nicky, also shared a similar image of the village looking more like a winter wonderland.
An Emmerdale spokeswoman told The Sun at the time: "Due to the weather and road accessibility all Emmerdale filming units have been cancelled today."
