Emmerdale fans were ecstatic after a character, who was feared dead, returned on tonight's installment.
Pearl Ladderbanks hasn't been seen on the show for months, leaving some viewers to speculate she might have been killed-off.
At the time, one fan said: "Why do we never see Pearl anymore? She's going the way of Betty and the others."
However, the first scene of tonight's show saw Pearl and Brenda embrace one-another, before Pearl sat down with her coffee.
While it was only a fleeting moment, Emmerdale fans were made-up at her short appearance.
One wrote: "Pearl isn't a figment of their imagination PLOT TWIST."
Shaheen said: "Pearl still exists I'm shocked."
Wayne tweeted: "Omg @emmerdale was that #pearl can you just clarify it was #pearl."
And Christopher said: "Good to see Pearl's still alive."
Despite her absence over the past couple of months, Pearl has been brought up in conversation by many characters.
And there was no suggestion from ITV that Pearl, played by Meg Johnson, had left the show.
