ITV Emmerdale and Coronation Street rescheduled but will clash with EastEnders

Soap fans are set to face a difficult decision due to a TV scheduling clash.

And viewers will not want to miss a second.

But Emmerdale and Coronation Street  fans will be disappointed to learn that the ITV shows have been rescheduled in favour of the football.

The ITV soaps have been moved from their regular slots on Friday, October 11 to offer Euro 2020 coverage of England's game with Czech Republic instead.

Soap fans will be glad to know that EastEnders will air on BBC One at 8pm, reports the Daily Star.

The Walford soap has been broadcast at 8.30pm in recent weeks to avoid a clash with hour-long specials of Corrie.

However, EastEnders will clash with Emmerdale on Tuesday, October 8 with the Dale's regular 30 minute spot extended to an hour make up for the loss of the Friday episode.

As a result of the change, the two shows will go head-to-head for half hour.

Corrie will only be shown four times that week.

ITV has also shuffled around a few daytime programmes recently to coincide with the Rugby World Cup matches in Japan.

This Morning and Loose Women were cancelled on more than one occasions to make way for the Tokyo tournament.

The matches are aired early in the UK due to the time difference.

EastEnders, Corrie and Emmerdale all resume as normal tonight.
