ITV Emmerdale actor cuts off iconic locks after sharing unrecognisable throwback

Emmerdale's James Moore has cut off his iconic long locks sharing a picture of at least five inches of hair on his Instagram account.

The 26-year-old, who plays Ryan Stocks in the soap, posted a picture of his new hair cut.

Posting a grunge-inspired snap he said: "Just a trim", after teasing it on his Twitter, saying: "Peep my insta for the new do."

His followers loved his new 'do, with one, cheekyfreddie, saying: "Nice one - can't wait to see this on Emmerdale."

Another, lizbanks1758, said: "Very Nirvana."

And fellow co-star Anthony Quinlan, who plays Pete Barton, said: "Looking [flame emoj] geeza!"

James' new hair style comes just days after he posted an unrecognisable throwback picture from his college days sporting very short hair.

He said: "Throwback to 2012 when I did this self-portrait for a college course and it’s still my favourite picture of myself ever. Everyone needs that one photo that gives them a confidence boost and this is mine."

Fans were blown away by the moody picture with one, meesy04, saying: "Wow amazing photo."

Another, realcarlyfarley, said: "Wow stunning, excellent photo, and loving the hair!"

Earlier this year TV viewers were in tears as James was announced best newcomer at at the National Television Awards.

James, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was overwhelmed at receiving the accolade.

Taking to the stag, he said: “A year ago I never thought for a show to take someone on with disability. This is the progression we need. This means the world to me.”

Also nominated in his category were Aedan Duckworth, Ollie Morgan, Hollyoaks, Alexandra Mardell, Emma Brooker, Coronation Street, Neet Mohan, Dr Rashid ‘Rash’ Masum, Casualty and Ricky Champ, Stuart Highway, EastEnders.

Hundreds of tweets were sent to the actor congratulating him and calling him an inspiration.
