ITV delete Jeremy Kyle website MINUTES after show axe as they erase mention of show

The Jeremy Kyle Show website has now been taken down, just minutes after the show's axe.

While the programme – which had been running on ITV since 2005 – used to have its own dedicated page where potential guests could apply for the show, and watch clips of previous episodes, it was deleted swiftly on Wednesday as the show's cancellation was confirmed.

The website cut is the first move in deleting Kyle's talk show from existence after accusations of poor aftercare, dubious casting techniques and "bear-baiting" vulnerable guests.

The programme's official Twitter and Facebook pages are yet to be culled.

Carolyn McCall, ITV’s CEO, said: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show.

“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

“Everyone at ITV's thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond.”

Her statement went on to confirm that the review of Dymond's episode would still be taking place.

She added: "ITV will continue to work with Jeremy Kyle on other projects."

Steve, 62, - who suffered from depression - took part to prove he hadn't cheated on on-off fiancée Jane Callaghan.

But it backfired when he failed the test, allegedly prompting host Jeremy to 'rip in to him' and Jane to end things for good.

Just says later he was found dead in his rented bedroom surrounded by letters written to loved ones.

According to his landlady Shelly, 55, who made the grim discovery, he was 'sobbing and distraught' when he returned from filming on May 2.
