ITV Dancing On Ice viewers hit back as show stopped for 'breaking news' bulletin

ITV's Dancing On Ice viewers hit back after the show was interrupted with a "breaking news" announcement.

Once again celebrities took to the ice for movie week and iconic due Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were back to host another episode of the great show on ice.

However, as Mollie Gallagher performed a Ghostbusters inspired dance with professional Sylvain Longchambon, the show was 'interrupted' by a 'breaking news' segment.

The routine was suddenly cut off at the start to go to the ITV news studio. It was a twist of the dance, as the news anchor issued a warning of paranormal activities. But fans were quick to take to social media to vent.

One said: "Not sure #dancingonice that the Breaking News segment was in good taste with everything going on."

Another agreed: "I did not like that dance at all… the news interruption wasn’t funny i didn’t think it was funny i thought it was rather rude of them regarding a serious cas."

A third added: "Not me getting scared that was a legit breaking news broadcast."

"Funny joke @ITV?? Yeah let’s put a breaking news in the middle of the show even though there’s some awful stories in the news at the moment," another fumed.

And a fifth tweeted: "Cor did anyone else’s bum go with that “breaking news” before the ghostbusters dance? My first thought was “what now?"
