ITV Dancing On Ice's Bez splits opinion as makes show history

Bez made Dancing On Ice history tonight as he performed a tribute to singer Meat Loaf.

The Happy Monday's star danced to Bat Out Of Hell as part of the show's musical-themed week.

Bez started his routine in style as he arrived on the ice riding a black motorbike.

During his performance, several skaters with flamethrowers joined Bez and his partner Angela on the ice.

Pyrotechnics also lit up the rink as Bez attempted the challenge of landing two unassisted jumps on one foot.

At the end of his routine, judge Christopher Dean revealed that Bez had made show history.

He said: "That's the biggest production we've ever had."

But Bez's routine wasn't appreciated by the judges, as they scored him 22.5.

Some fans also agreed with the judges' criticism.

Frances tweeted: "Please DON’T vote to keep Bez in. So unfair on the others."

Sophie said: "Bez does try I’m not saying he doesn’t but I think it’s time for him to go."

Another tweeted: "I mean the theatrics are all well and good, but I’m pretty sure this is an ice skating show."

And Chloe said: "Bez seems a nice guy but it’s time for him to go, someone who needs to wear a helmet at this stage of the competition should not still be there."

But others thought Bez was the best contestant on tonight's show.

Teena tweeted: "Bez needs to stay, he brings the entertainment and he’s fun."

Robert tweeted: "I really want #Bez to stay in #DancingOnIce (and even win it!)....."

And Jon said: "Bez is the most entertaining thing on it. Whoever is voting for him, please keep doing so."
