ITV Corrie star Ellie Leach looks a world away from the cobbles on idyllic holiday with her man

She's been involved in some of the soap's most harrowing storylines as Coronation Street's Faye Windass. So her followers on social media were pleased to see actress Ellie Leach a world away from the Weatherfield drama as she enjoyed a sunshine break with her boyfriend Reagan Pettman.

Fans of the Corrie star, who has played Faye since 2011, spotted that the star had holidayed in Lindos on the Greek island of Rhodes as she shared a selection of snaps from her idyllic holiday with entrepreneur Reagan. As she Instagrammed a selfie of the couple smiling with a spectacular view of the sea she wrote: "First night on our hols."

Her Coronation Street co-star cousin Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster, commented: "Most beautiful." Sally Ann Matthews who plays Rovers Return landlady Jenny Connor said: "Gorgeousness x 2." Sally Dynevor, who plays her stepmum Sally Metcalfe, wrote: "Have a wonderful time Ellie xxxx." And becomingamama0 told her: "Absolutely gorgeous you look so happy."

With another set of snaps she captioned them: "Fun, food & new friends." In one snap she beamed as she cuddled up to her man in a green dress on a night out. And another photo showed the smitten couple cuddled up in white fluffy robes under a duvet.

During her 11 years in the nation's longest-running soap the actress from Bury has tackled hard-hitting storylines including her character falling pregnant when she was 12. In 2020 she was sexually assaulted by evil Ray Crosby and last year she went to prison for attacking Adam Barlow in a case of mistaken identity thinking that he was her sleazy boss.

After being released on bail she lurched straight into another drama when, during a driving lesson on New Year's Day with Emma Brooker, she accidentally ran down a pensioner called Ted. The girls took him home after he reassured he was okay but they were horrified to find him dead in his chair after going back later to check on him.

Terrified of going back to prison, Faye and Emma decided to cover up his death and leave him for his grandson Jon to find. But things became more complicated when a guilt-ridden Emma met Jon at Ted's funeral and they fell for each other.

Faye eventually blurted out the truth to Jon. But there was a happy ending for Emma when he decided to forgive his soulmate and the pair moved away together to Australia start a new life.

Faye thought she had suffered a miscarriage through stress. But she was left with the devastating news that she was unable to have children of her own after going into early menopause.
