ITV Corrie's Samia Longchambon shares rare snaps of son as she recalls special memories from Dancing on Ice first

Samia Longchambon shares a rare snap of her son as he got to experience a first over the weekend. The Coronation Street star ditched the cobbles on Sunday night as she headed to the ice rink to support her husband Sylvain Longchambon as he made his return to Dancing on Ice.

It was announced last year that ice skater Sylvain would be returning to the programme, three years after last skating on the ITV show. And he wasn't the only returnee as Vicky Ogden and Klabera Komini, who both last skated in the 2021 series, have made a comeback.

And the French sportsman was finally seen back on the ice on Sunday (January 22) with new celebrity partner Mollie Gallagher. The actress, who plays Nina Lucas in Corrie alongside Samia, who stars as Maria Windass, gave an elegant performance to Angel Eyes by Abba as she took to the ice for the first time with Sylvain.

In the audience, Samia was a proud wife as she watched her man, who she met on the show when she competed herself in 2013. She was also joined by the couple's seven-year-old son, Yves, who got to see his dad skate live. "Last night was pretty special..." the soap star penned alongside a picture of herself, Yves, and Sylvain at Dancing on Ice's purpose-built studio at Bovingdon Airfield.

"It was Yves’ first time watching his Papa @slongchambon skate live on @dancingonice ..he loved every second, we both did!" the mum, who also shares daughter Freya with her ex-husband Matt Smith, continued alongside other pictures of Yves with his dad as well as one of him staring ahead at the ice rink with his own personalised varsity jacket.

Samia added; "Huge congrats to you @mollie.gallagher_ and Sylvain for a fabulous first performance! And well done to all the other celebs and pro’s too it was a great show!"

Mollie was quick to respond to the post, writing in the comments: "Omg adorable," with a string of red hearts. Dancing on Ice star Mark Henretty also comemnted: "So lovely to see you again Samia. Seeing Yves watch his daddy was very special!!" And Alexandra Schauman, who found herself and partner John Fashanu as the first to be booted off the show, replied: "Sooo good to see you after so long hun."

And fans were loving the snaps. @dear_evelina said: "Aw, they both look so proud. Love this." @mariaquin2016 commented: "Such a treat to see Sylvain back on the ice and can’t believe how much Yves has grown since I last saw him! You all look gorgeous. Marks should have been much higher - even Karen said so!"

@1macey wrote: "You guys looked fabulous. Great skate @slongchambon." @oli_the_choc shared: "Loved these pics, ace seeing Yves on the box last night, Syl and Mollie smashed it, great show and performance, loved it!" @amyorjimmy replied: "Gorgeous photos! Bet he was so proud." @whitfield0318 added: "You looked gorgeous as usual and your Husband was fabulous. I can understand your Son being proud of his Papa."

Others were quick to point out a sweet moment they spotted live on the show when host Holly Willoughby headed over to talk to the celebrities friends and families who were showing their support in the live audience. @gattiejonathan said: "I like how he straighten your hair when you was chatting to Holly." @ashcon75 echoed: "Yves was so cute the way he touched your hair when you were introduced. Such a lovely family."
