ITV Corrie's Georgia Taylor spotted with rarely seen partner amid soap's death drama

Coronation Street's Toyah Habeeb was last seen in devastating scenes.

The ITV soap character was reeling after losing her on-screen husband, Imran. The on-screen couple had been entwined in a custody battle which ended with them both unconscious in a crumpled up car.

But off-screen, Toyah actress Georgia Taylor couldn't look any more relaxed. She has been spotted online in a loved-up snap with her real life partner Mark Letheren.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night (May 31), Georgia re-shared a post with her rarely-seen partner. The couple were enjoying some time away from the UK as they soaked up the sun in Madeira.

Georgia had her arms lovingly wrapped around her other half as he planted a kiss on her cheek. She looked elated as she beamed into the camera.

The 42-year-old actress has recently spoken of how she met her long-term partner while appearing on ITV's Lorraine. The Scottish host said: "We saw you in Law and Order, we saw you in Blackpool, and of course we saw you in Casualty, so many other things that you did. I mean it’s great to have you back and I love the fact that in Casualty, you know you always make friends on set, that’s where you met your husband, which is rather lovely. The two of you being in sort of the same job, it’s really nice that."

Georgia corrected her as she replied: "Yeah, we’re actually not married but we practically are because we’ve been together so long." Lorraine quickly apologised, saying: "Oh I’m so sorry! I keep doing this!"

The soap star said: "That’s okay. We met, he was a sort of semi-regular character, he was playing a councillor ironically, which is then what Toyah ended up doing. We met, gosh 13 years ago. So yeah, got him out of the job and lots of friends and it was a really good time."
