ITV Corrie's Catherine Tyldesley and Helen Flanagan enjoy a catch-up as they both reach parenting landmarks

Catherine Tyldesley and Helen Flanagan showcased their summer style credentials as they attended a launch party in Manchester. The glam mums enjoyed a catch-up at the Brood Magazine coffee table book launch.

Former Coronation Street stars Cath and Helen were all smiles at the event at The Bull and Bear restaurant. Catherine, 38, was the epitome of summery chic in a black dress with floral pattern.

The mum-of-two, who in April welcomed a baby daughter Iris Ella with her photographer husband Tom Pitfield, wore her chocolate brown tresses in loose waves. And she added nude strappy heels to her stylish look.

And mother-of-three Helen, 31, also looked chic in a blue mini dress with lace detailing for the party. She teamed her pretty dress with white slip-on sandals, wearing her blonde hair swept back into a bun.

Their outing to support Brood Magazine, formed by Cath's hubby Tom, author Lolo Stubbs and her husband Rob comes as both doting mums have reached parenting landmarks. Catherine, who played barmaid Eva Price in Corrie from 2011 to 2018, has told her followers that she's enjoying being 'out and about' in the sunshine with her energy levels back after giving birth.

The star suffered hyperemesis gravidarum, which was also suffered by former co-star Helen, 31, during all three of her pregnancies. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a pregnancy condition where expectant mothers experience severe nausea, weight loss, vomiting and dehydration, believed to be caused by the rise in hormone levels.

Catherine, who also has a seven-year-old son Alfie with Tom, told her Instagram followers: "After months of feeling like utter poop when pregnant, it’s so nice to feel like ‘me’ again. From the day Iris was born I felt something lift. It’s amazing how reactive our bodies are to hormones.

"I was some how surviving on just two hours sleep a night, hyperemesis and barely able to function. I was pretty much a recluse for the last three months of pregnancy . We underestimate pregnancy sometimes…"

And she added: "So lovely to be out and about again in the sun with my beautiful family. Grateful to have my energy levels back! Feeling happy and full of love."

Catherine, from Walkden, previously opened up to followers about her pregnancy journey admitting it felt as though she’d been pregnant for a lot longer than she had been. "Apparently an African bush elephant is pregnant for 22 months!" she joked in one Instagram post.

"I fear that my body may have me confused with an elephant! It feels like I’ve been pregnant since 1942… Cherishing pjs, a bump and copious amounts of pineapple while I can."

She told Hello! magazine that the name Iris Ella was chosen for their daughter because she played a character called Iris Moss in the BBC drama Lilies in 2007 and she had "loved it ever since". And their daughter’s middle name Ella is a tribute to Pitfield’s late grandmother.

Last week Helen, who played Rosie Webster in Coronation Street from 2000 to 2018 before going on maternity leave with daughter Delilah, marked Delilah's fourth birthday with an adorable throwback photo of the actress from Bury carrying her baby dressed in pink. Can’t believe my baby is 4 this week throwback to when she let me dress her in berets and pink," she Instagrammed.

And she took to Instagram to share her excitement as eldest daughter Matilda, who turns seven next week, lost her two front teeth. "That's amazing do you think the tooth fairy is going to come?" she asked her delighted daughter who excitedly replied "yes."

Brood Magazine has so far featured interviews with Brooke Vincent, Sarah Jayne Dunn and Simon Wood. Lolo, the author of Dressed Up As Love and Dressed Up In Armour, said: "It’s been in my goal book for five years to start this magazine. Being a mum of four I know how hard it is to chase your dreams whilst juggling your brood."
