ITV Corrie fans jump out of their skin at 'Trigger Point' crossover

Coronation Street fans reacted in shock as Weatherfield was swarmed by police in Monday night's double bill.

Viewers 'jumped out of their skin' as Adam Barlow and Imran Habeeb's office was raided by armed police.

Corrie watchers joked as they compared it to the intensity of the hit police dramas Trigger Point and Line Of Duty.

@robdriscoll1 asked: "Really? This is #Corrie FFS, not Line of Duty!"

Adam and Imran were shocked (ITV)

@Mickney_2017 tweeted: "That last scene made me jump out my skin."

And @jan_fifi said: "Crikey, I nearly jumped out of my skin then."

Held at gunpoint, solicitors Adam and Imran were shocked to learn their office was being searched for a firearm following a tip-off.

The police turned the office upside down but found nothing as Adam threatened to sue.

Adam, played by Sam Robertson, is being targeted as part of an initimidated campaign by a mystery enemy.

He has already had his car keyed and windscreen smashed by the stalker and is receiving anonymous calls.

This week his wife Sarah and mother-in-law Gail are taken aback to find a large bouquet of flowers in a vase.

Sarah’s thrilled by Adam’s gesture but later Adam’s baffled when Sarah thanks him for the flowers.

Fishing out the card, they are aghast to read the threat "next bouquet will be for your funeral.”

And Sarah and Adam realise that, because the flat door was deadlocked, whoever left the flowers could still be there.
