ITV Corrie and Emmerdale stars 'believe' as they hit the red carpet for joint soap appearance

The stars of Coronation Street and Emmerdale will have been believing in life after love - excuse the pun - after heading out in Manchester on Tuesday night (May 17). Actors from both of the ITV soaps hit the red carpet as a brand new show came to the Opera House.

The Cher Show arrived in the city which sees audience members treated to three versions of the singing sensation - the young Cher, the older Cher, and the middle-aged version - in a story of her life. However, unfortunately, none are the real thing.

The touring production has been choreographed by former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse and directed by the BBC One dance show's former job Dame Arlene Phillips who have joined forced to bring the musical to theatres across the country.

Coronation Street star Ellie Leach was able to show off her holiday glow as she hit the red carpet. She appeared for the show in a pair of light denim asymmetric jeans which she wore with a while top light blue blazer over the top. The 21-year-old kept her makeup to a minimum to show off her beautiful freckles and sun-kissed skin while her dark locks were styled into curls.

While at the theatre Ellie will have enjoyed an off-screen reunion with former on-screen flatmate Alexandra Mardell who left the soap as Emma Brooker last month. The Leeds-born actress brought spring florals to the red carpet in a pleated patterned skirt which she teamed with a white t-shirt that had been tied into a crop style and a black denim jacket.

Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney also headed to the theatre and she was joined by her lookalike sister, Georgia. The 19-year-old looked stylish in a pair of light denim jeans and a white shirt which she tied into a cropped style. She kept it casual with a pair of white trainers and added a splash of colour with a bright green bag.

Meanwhile, Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew in the Salford-based soap, also headed to see the all-singing, all-dancing show. The 42-year-old went for an all-black look, donning a pair of jeans and t-shirt under a leather jacket.

Emmerdale's Isabel Hodgins, aka the soap's Victoria Sugden and Mackenzie Boyd actor Lawrence Robb also ditched the Dales to travel back in time with Cher's biggest hits, including Turn Back Time and Believe. Isabel looked worlds away from her on-screen character in a pair of white trousers and black sating top which she wore under a beaded sheer jacket.

Lawrence opted for a pair of casual black chinos, a white shirt and a powder pink jacket. Former Hollyoaks actress Jazz Franks also headed to the show, smiling for the cameras in a pair of ripped denim jeans which she donned with a knitted khaki green crop top with added black blazer and matching designer bag.
