ITV Coronation Street viewers convinced Mary SWORE on show before the watershed

In tonight's Coronation Street episode viewers were surprised when Mary Taylor swore before 9pm.

Aiming to earn a bit of extra cash, Mary took on the local Weatherfield radio quiz - if she answered the questions correctly she would win £1,000.

Except there was only one problem, Gemma was also on the phone line competing for the prize money.

Enlisting the help of Kabin owner Brian, who wrote the answers to the quiz on a pizza box for Gemma to read out, the kebab-shop worker stormed to victory when Mary failed to answer a question quick enough.

She was told by the radio host to 'watch her language' as the show was for families.

But whilst she may have managed to hold her tongue, she vented her frustration in another way.

A third fan tweeted: "LMFAO at Mary to the radio."

Whilst other users simply tweeted 'Mary' followed by crying-laughter emojs.

Later in the programme, Chesney layed into Gemma when he found out her and Brian had won the £1000 quiz prize against Mary.

And things got worse, as Gemma became overcome with guilt when she met a downtrodden Mary in the pub, eventually admitting that it was her that fleeced Mary out of the money.
