ITV Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey looks like a "princess" in festive photo

ITV Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey looked like a 'princess' as she got into the Christmas spirit in a gorgeous black dress.

The actress, who plays Asha Alahan in the soap, shared a new photo with her 97.6k Instagram followers. In the snap, is posing at the bottom of a staircase which is adorned with festive decorations, with a lit-up Christmas tree in the background. Smiling, the star is wearing a chic black dress, paired with ankle-high black boots and a dainty necklace.

Tanisha's black hair is softly curled and she is wearing natural-looking make-up with black-rimmed glasses. She captioned the post: "I do love crimbo" with a Christmas tree and a snowman emoji.

Friends and fans were quick to hype her up in the comments. Former Corrie actress - and soon-to-be Doctor Who companion - Millie Gibson commented: "Honestly? Breath-taking" to which Tanisha responded: "Honestly? You are my true love".

Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley in the ITV soap, said: "Princessaaaaa" with a flame emoji while @sally_carman__ added: "Beauty!" with three fire emojis. @markhill2021 said: "Absolutely beautiful and stunning" and @shermazingnicole331 wrote: "Omfg girl looking good and stunning and love the dress".

Tanisha is the longest-serving member of the Corrie 'brat pack,' playing troubled teen Asha Alahan. The actress joined the show in December 2009 as Dev and Sunita Alahan's daughter. She had never taken an acting class before she first appeared on the soap aged six.

But despite that, she's successfully tackled big storylines - including issues such as skin-lightening, sexting and revenge porn.
