They also shared an adorable picture of their daughter in a babygrow that says "little sister". Briony has also posted the sweet picture on her Instagram and the comments have been flooded with congratulatory messages.

Former Corrie star Tisha Merry said: "Awww congratulations to you both!! I hope you’re all doing well! Lots of love."

Sam first announced the news that Briony was pregnant in October 2021, using an adorable photo of Sonny standing in a pumpkin patch with the caption: "We're adding another pumpkin to our patch. Due Spring 2022."

Sam, 28, married childhood sweetheart Briony in May 2019 with the wedding attended by many of his castmates including Katie, Brooke Vincent, Alan Halsall, and Jennie McAlpine, who plays his on-screen sister Fizz in the ITV soap.

The couple have known each other since they were young and started chatting on MSN as smitten teenagers but Sam ended up ending the relationship because they were 'very young'. However, the pair found a way back to each other years later and are very happy together.
