ITV Coronation Street star returns to filming after being missing from screens

Coronation Street star Jamie Kenna is back on the cobbles after being off-screen for a few weeks.

The actor, known for playing Phill Whittaker in the ITV soap, returned to filming on Monday and has shared his joy with his followers.

Jamie, who joined Corrie last year as Fiz Stape's new love interest, took to Instagram with a selfie with two of his co-stars before giving a glimpse at his dressing room.

"Very happy to be back with these beauties," the Green Street star shared alongside the snap of himself sandwiched between Andy Whyment and Samia Loncgchambon, who play Kirk Sutherland and Maria Windass.

Jamie then posted another clip of him opening the door to his dressing room.

"Back in my happy place... and another legend of a dressing room buddy," he wrote across it.

And that legend is Kevin Webster actors Michael Le-Vell.

Jamie was straight back into work, which included doing his own transformation into Phill.

"My intense, extensive morning make up routine everybody," he wrote alongside a video of himself sat in front of the mirror in his dressing room.

"Wow the transformation is incredible!!" he then joked.

Corrie co-star Kel Allen, who plays the soap's Laura Neelan, was among the first to comment, writing: "Here he is!!!!"

@msmagicpants joked: "It’s like a stars in their eyes transformation Jamie including the accent!!"

"I am blimmin blown away! Lol," @lea_jess_tw.x laughed.

@francesclancy9041 added: "[laughing emojis] love it@thejamiekenna."

Jamie was at the centre of Corrie's Christmas Day episode alongside Alan Halsall.

Phill and Tyrone Dobbs came to blows over the festive period after Tyrone made another move on ex-Fiz.

Their 'fight' spilled onto the cobbles with water guns, and inflatables used to goad each other before finally calling a truce and enjoying the Christmas market singalong.

A few days later, Phill and Fiz were agreeing to move in together and Fiz left Ty shocked when she told him she wanted to sell the house to get money for her new place.

And Corrie viewers wondered how Fiz was able to have a say after Jack and Vera Duckworth left the house to their honorary son.

Not only that, but fans were also left questioning Phill's motives and soon thought they had 'worked out' what the newcomer is up to.
