ITV Coronation Street star 'gutted' as Brooke Vincent returns to the Cobbles

Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent has returned to the Cobbles.

The soap star rose to fame with her portrayal of Sophie Webster on the long-running ITV show. Brooke arrived on the Cobbles as the renowned character in 2004 and thrilled fans with her performances until she departed Weatherfield in 2019.

Away from the screen, the 30-year-old regularly shares updates from her happy family life with her 938k Instagram followers. She took to the social media platform to reveal she visited the Corrie set with her son Mexx.

She shared snaps from the set alongside the caption: "The Most Iconic Street. Today I took Mexx back to Corrie, last time I was here I was about to give birth to him!! 3 years have past, everything has changed, yet everything is still the same.

"I saw old friends and people I literally spent over half my life working with!!! Forever a huge part of me until next time. We had the best time visiting."

Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, was gutted she missed her former co-star's return. She said: "I am GUTTED I wasn’t there today!"

Other co-stars urged her to make a full time return to the show.

Colson Smith, who plays PC Craig Tinker, said: "Come home then."

Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, said: "Sooo good to see you Brooke. We need you back."

Sally Ann Matthews, who plays Jenny Bradley, said: "Alex took good pictures! Gorgeous to see you both x"
