Gareth Gates has been accused of 'scrounging for freebies' just days after his fiancée Faye Brookes quit Coronation Street.
The Pop Idol star was exposed on Twitter asking a business owner if he and Faye could "do anything" for them in return for social media posts.
Gareth, 34, said he was travelling to Birmingham and was "looking for places to go".

Twitter user Conrad Brunton said: "A friend who runs a great bar in Birmingham just received this message from Gareth Gates. I am sure that he’s contacted a few industry people with a similar request. What a d***** Come on mate, You and your Mrs (from Corrie) can’t be that hard up can you!!??? #freeloader."
He added a screenshot of the message that appeared to be sent from Gareth's official Instagram account.

It said: "Hi, Gareth Gates here. My self and my fiancé (Faye Brookes from Coronation Street ) are in Birmingham on Saturday.
"We're looking for places to go and wondered if you could do anything for us in exchange for social media posts etc."
The Mirror Online contacted representatives for Gareth and Faye comment.
